The sleepy town of Sumas near the Canadian border sits atop a rambunctious world full of Goblins in RoyceBuckingham's second humorous fantasy novel for kids, GOBLINS!
When PJ and Sam-a cop's kid and a juvenile delinquent-sneak into the Sumas woods in dad's police cruiser, they accidentally run down what looks like a mutant gorilla with a bad attitude. But it's no ape-it's a goblin, and thousands more live under the earth. Sam discovers a tunnel into the goblin world and quickly winds up in their clutches. It'll take all of PJ's strength and ingenuity to outsmart the goblins, save Sam, keep the creatures from finding their way to the surface, and get back to the station before his dad finds out.
"RoyceBuckingham is a new voice in youth literature...His sophomore offering, Goblins! An UnderEarth Adventure, is equally funny as Demonkeeper and has so much action, you need to put the book down to take a breath! Young readers will love the grossness of the bugs, the swamp creatures, and the slobbering, slightly-stupid goblins. They also will discover bravery and honor from some very unexpected sources. - Janie Franz, MyShelf.com
